New Players

Experienced New Players.

New players are always welcome with Kumeu Brass.

If you are a competent brass player by all means come for a blow at our Friday night rehearsal (7.30pm to 9.30pm) in the Band room or contact us here through the Contact Us page

Alternatively, turn up on Thursday at 1:45 p.m. for an informal blow with Vintage Brass.

They have a number of experienced players, and have been organising their own occasional playouts too.

Learners' Group

Objective:
"To cater for players from beginner level until they are sufficiently competent and confident to be incorporated into the main band".

Individual Lessons:
The band does not offer lessons currently, however if you need some assistance finding a brass tutor, our members may be able to provide contacts for tutors they may know in the area.

Learners' Band:
The Learners' Band runs from 6.30 - 7.30 on Friday nights. The Band is conducted by Musical Director, Carolyn Ramsbottom and learner players are assisted by other senior band members in the weekly rehearsals. Although the band consists mainly of young players, adult learners are also very welcome.

The group encourages personal musical growth by learning a varied range of music, with musicality as a large focus, as well as stressing the essentials of group playing.

If you or someone in your family would like to join the learners group, please contact:
Carolyn Ramsbottom email: evolutionmd@kumeubrass.org.nz or any member of the band.
