The Kumeu Vintage Brass

is an ensemble of (mostly) senior players who meet for "a blow"  every Thursday afternoon.

The average age of members is 70 years, and they have previously played in a total of 75 other bands over 50 years.

There is no age limit (maximum or minimum).

Click here to see photos of 60 of these bands - can be viewed, downloaded, and/or viewed as a slide-show,

If you've played in a brass band in an earlier life, and have access to an instrument, come on over for a  blow.

If you join Kumeu Brass (annual subscription $60) you are eligible for a instrument.

Rehearsal is Thursday afternoons, 1:30 p.m. in the band room at Kumeu Showgrounds.

We also do occasional play-outs , and our rates are extremely reasonable!
