About us

Kumeu Brass Inc. has been active within the community for seventy years! founded in 1948. check out our History page for our full story.

We were registered as a Society in 1949, and a Registered Charity CC30062 (2008).  Our Patron is Chris Penk,  M.P. for Helensville, Our Vice Patron is Brian Miller, life member.

Our Current Officers elected for 2020 are;

We are involved in a wide range of activities, including competitions, concerts, parades, Anzac celebrations, Gala days and Christmas events. Kumeu Brass rehearses on Friday nights at 7:30 pm, and performs in contests as well as parades. Kumeu Vintage Brass rehearse on Thursdays 12:30 – 3 pm t the bandroom and have play-outs in a variety of concerts, community events,  and retirement villages. Both bands play a wide range of music from classical to pop, marches to hymns.
